Alex Thomas

I am a fourth year graduate student in the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology program. I have a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.

Current Research

My general research area is in exploring systems biology applications with respect to mammalian phenotypes. Some specific projects I'm working on are:

  1. Human platelet model of metabolism (iAT-636). See publication below. Here is the link of the model in the Biomodels database: iAT-636. Please feel free to contact me if you want to collaborate.
  2. JSBML development
  3. CHO cell engineering

I also have overall interests in algorithm coding, organism engineering, and software upkeep. Feel free to contact me if you have questions regarding UCSD Bioinformatics and Systems Biology.
