I am a fourth year graduate student in the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology program. I have a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
My general research area is in exploring systems biology applications with respect to mammalian phenotypes. Some specific projects I'm working on are:
- Human platelet model of metabolism (iAT-636). See publication below. Here is the link of the model in the Biomodels database: iAT-636. Please feel free to contact me if you want to collaborate.
- JSBML development
- CHO cell engineering
I also have overall interests in algorithm coding, organism engineering, and software upkeep. Feel free to contact me if you have questions regarding UCSD Bioinformatics and Systems Biology.
- Alex Thomas, Sorena Rahmanian, Aarash Bordbar, Bernhard O. Palsson, Neema Jamshidi. Network reconstruction of platelet metabolism identifies metabolic signature for aspirin resistance Scientific Reports, 4:3925 (2014)
